It seems like almost every day there is a new major disaster on the news, whether it's flooding, snow, or even a volcanic eruption. Every human resources professional responsible for emergency management needs to review and consider the completeness of their emergency procedures. Often there is a complete fire evacuation plan but have you considered numerous other risks and standard procedures that your organization needs to be ready for? This session examines the emerging risks associated with climate change and what procedures should be in place to address those new risks.
Featured topics include:
•Educating participants on climate change impacts
•Educating participants on additional emergency procedures beyond fire, and basic health and safety
•Assisting participants in identifying gaps in their emergency plans
•Improving levels of emergency preparedness
